At a one day meeting in Vientiane representatives from the government and UN Country Team finalized and validated the outputs for the new UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) Action Plan 2012 to 2015. Preparations for the new UNDAF Action Plan began in early 2010 and this was the culmination of prior consultations between the UN development system in Lao PDR and government stakeholders.

UNDAF Action Plan is the strategic and operational planning document of the UN. The new plan will support the Government’s 7th National Socio-Economic Development Plan (NSEDP) to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 and to help the country graduate from Least Developed Country status by 2020.
